Unterschriftensammlung beendet

Am 8. August 2020 ging es los mit der Unterschriftensammlung, nachdem sich in der Woche davor 16 engagierte Wariner Bürgerinnen und Bürger zusammengefunden hatten, um eine Bürgerinitiative zu gründen.
Ziel war es, eine ausreichende Anzahl von Unterstützern mit Ihren Unterschriften zu gewinnen, um einen Bürgerentscheid zu erlangen. Dieser Bürgerentscheid soll über die Frage entscheiden:
„Soll die Stadt Warin das Grundstück des ehemaligen Krankenhauses mittels des Kaufvertragsentwurfs des Notariats Claudia Nagy vom 30.06.2020 an die Residenz Burg Glammsee GmbH zur Errichtung von altersgerechten Wohnungen sowie eines öffentlich zugänglichen Parks verkaufen?“
Insbesondere wurde hier auf den Vertragsentwurf vom 30.06.2020 verwiesen, der das Rückkaufrecht beinhaltet. Bürgermeister Griese hatte stets darauf verwiesen, dass ein solches Rückkaufrecht nicht existiere, was faktisch falsch ist.
Am besagten Samstagvormittag machte sich eine engagierte BI’lerin auf, um von Tür zu Tür zu gehen. Bereits am frühen Nachmittag hatten bei ihr 70 Unterstützer unterschrieben. Ein Infostand vor dem EDEKA-Markt war mit über 100 Unterstützern ebenfalls erfolgreich. Einige kamen nur, um Ihre Unterschrift zu leisten, weil sie am Morgen den Artikel der Bürgerinitiative in der SVZ gelesen hatten. Eine Unterstützerin kam sogar ein zweites Mal und mit Ihrem PKW vor den Infostand vorgefahren. Ihre schon ältere Mutter ist schlecht zu Fuß, hatte aber von der Initiative erfahren und darauf bestanden, ebenfalls zu unterschreiben. Zahlreiche weitere freiwillige Unterstützer gingen ebenfalls los und sammelten Unterschriften. Einen solchen enormen Zuspruch in so unsagbar kurzer Zeit haben wir nicht für Möglich gehalten.
Mit 562 Unterschriften von aus Warin und den Ortsteilen – 284 wären nötig gewesen – machten sich Britta Deutsch (li) und Laura Merten (re) am 20. August 2020 auf, um mit ihnen den Bürgerentscheid zu beantragen. Auch wenn nach diesem Termin noch annähernd 100 weitere Unterschriften bei der BI eintrafen, fiel die Entscheidung der Abgabe aus zeitlichen Gründen.
